C.A.R.E. is a non-profit, all volunteer and foster-based animal rescue located in Columbus, Indiana working to promote animal welfare through community awareness, education and responsible pet adoptions. We promote spaying and neutering as the way to relieve the number of animals entering our local shelters.. We work with local shelters to help with overpopulation and to increase the number of adoptions.

Meet Wesley

Meet Wesley! This guy has been through a lot! He was guessed to but hit by a car at around 4 months old. He broke his left front leg and rear back leg. After surgeries to repair, and then several months of healing, he's finally gotten the all clear!!! He's in a foster home with pomeranins, a German shep, and another cattle dog, as well as cats. He's a little dramatic when he first meets new dogs. (He will scream/bark at them before they get close to him).. he adjusts and is fine within a few days, but cattle dog experience would be great since he's got those quirks!
