Meet Nikki Nikki is a gentle 1-year-old girl who came to our shelter as a stray. While we don’t know what her past looked like, it’s clear that this sweet soul has been through more than her fair share — and she’s still learning that the world can be a safe, loving place.Shy and reserved in new environments, Nikki needs a little time to feel secure. But once she trusts you, she’ll melt right into your heart (and your lap!). This little lovebug is happiest curled up close, resting her head on your arm, soaking up all the comfort and affection she can get. She’s the definition of a loyal cuddle companion.The shelter is a scary place for Nikki — all the noise and commotion are overwhelming — so we’re hoping to find her a calm, patient home as soon as possible. We haven’t tested her with other animals just yet, and we recommend a quieter home with older children who can give her the gentle space and time she needs to blossom.Nikki is ready to trade fear for love and find her forever family.
