It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Currently located at our Chrisney, IN locationFoster Needed for Rapunzel – A Sweet Senior with a Heart of GoldMeet Rapunzel, a senior beagle mix with the softest ears and the sweetest soul. With her gentle nature and loving eyes, this golden girl is sure to steal your heart.Rapunzel is calm, affectionate, and just wants a cozy place to rest her paws. She’s the perfect companion for quiet evenings and slow strolls, bringing warmth and love to anyone lucky enough to know her.She’s looking for a foster home where she can feel safe, loved, and cherished — just as she deserves.Open your home to Rapunzel and give this sweet senior the comfort and care she’s earned. If you can offer a temporary foster home, please complete a foster application at ITVrescue.org.All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated, if necessary.
