Meet Minnie

Meet Minnie! Not only does she live up to her namesake Minnie Mouse with the size of her ears, but in personality too! Minnie is the sweetest pup who loves everything about life. Minnie enjoys going on walks, play time, and fetch. She’s one smart cookie and likes learning new tricks like “sit” and “lay down”. She is very friendly and gets along well with her foster sibling and everyone, including young kids, she has met. She is also crate trained. She’s looking for a family to provide lots of snuggles and to be her best friend. Minnie would do best in active household where she can get lots of play time, snuggles and walks. If you’re looking for a sweetheart who enjoys life, then Minnie is your gal!

Adoption Process
Applicants must fill out an application at www.adoptapitrescue.org/apply. We screen all applications, with approved applicants passing a vet and landlord check. All pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations and on year-round heartworm preventative. Non-homeowners must have permission from their landlord to have a dog. Once approved, we schedule a home visit, where an adoption representative takes the dog to the adopter's home to see if the dog is a good fit for the family and other pets, as well as verify the home is a safe environment for the dog. If everyone feels the dog is a good fit, a contract is signed, adoption fee is paid, and the family takes possession of the dog, unless other arrangements are made. Typical adoption fees are $175 for adult dogs and $200 for puppies. We reserve the right to charge different fees for "designer" breeds. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested, and on heartworm preventative at the time of adoption. All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian and given a clean bill of health at the time of adoption.
