Meet Bunny Lou
This cute little Bunny is up for adoption and ready to hop into your heart! Bunny was found as a stray by a Good Samaritan and taken to a local emergency vet. She was diagnosed with a fractured left front leg, and amputation was the best option for her. She has adapted wonderfully to life as a three-legged dog, and she does not miss her broken leg at all! Bunny is a 3 month old, Pit Bull mix, and weighs 12 pounds. She is all things puppy, and loves to be rambunctious, play tug of war, chase a ball, and chew. She does not let being a tripod hold her back at all! She can hold her own while running and playing with other dogs, and goes up and down stairs easily. Bunny is crate trained and enjoys napping in her kennel with the door open. She has made great strides with house breaking, but still has occasional accidents. She does well around cats and small kids, although she is still learning how to behave appropriately around them. Bunny’s ideal fur-ever home would have flooring with good traction to prevent slips and falls, raised food and water bowls, and an orthopedic dog bed. It is important that her new family keeps her at an ideal weight to avoid increased stress on her joints. She would greatly benefit from a puppy training class to learn basic manners, and help establish a bond with her new owner. And ideally, she would love to have another dog housemate to play with, and get some of her energy out with. Please consider letting Bunny hop into her fur-ever home with you!
