Hank (Sweetie)

It Takes A Village No-Kill Rescue

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.

Meet Hank (Sweetie)

Meet Hank, a petite and charming brindle pit mix with a heart of gold. Born in July 2023, this young pup is ready to find his forever home and fill it with love and joy. Despite his small stature, Hank is big on personality. His brindle coat and soulful eyes make him an absolute standout, but it's his playful nature that truly steals the show. Whether it's chasing after toys or romping around the yard, Hank approaches life with boundless energy and enthusiasm. When it comes to training, Hank is a star pupil. He already knows commands like "sit," "stay," and "okay," showcasing his intelligence and eagerness to please. His willingness to learn makes him a joy to train, and he's always eager to show off his skills for a tasty treat or a pat on the head. Hank's friendly disposition extends to both humans and animals alike. He adores children, making him an ideal family companion. Additionally, Hank gets along well with other dogs and enjoys socializing with furry friends during playtime. While Hank is generally good-natured, he can be a little apprehensive around cats. With patient introductions and gradual socialization, he may overcome his fears and learn to coexist peacefully with feline housemates. When it's time to head out or when home alone, Hank is comfortable being crated, ensuring his safety and security. However, he thrives on human interaction and eagerly awaits the moment when his family returns to shower him with love and attention. If you're searching for a playful and affectionate companion who's as eager to learn as he is to love, then Hank might just be the perfect match for you. Come meet this delightful pup today and see for yourself the joy he brings to any home! Apply today today at ITVrescue.org to make Hank the next addition to your home. All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.
