Meet Aaron

Meet Aaron. A sweet 12 week old Cavalier Bichon mix.  He is an active puppy that likes to run in the yard and wrestle with his sister, Aubrey. They are quite the pair. Aaron is looking for a home that has the time to devote to all things puppy. He will need help with house training, basic skills and leash walking. Aaron can be a little mouthy so you will need to have plenty of distraction toys on hand as he learns not to nibble his people.  Aaron weighs about 8 pounds and gets along with other dogs and kids. Aaron had some hair loss from a previous skin infection though it is quickly growing back.  This pup is micro-chipped and up to date on all vaccinations, and neutered. The new family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.  The pup's adoption fee is $950. Please note ARF does not approve applications for any puppy under 6 months of age to families that live outside of Illinois and/or beyond 100 miles of Wheaton or Glen Ellyn, IL.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you're interested in adopting this pup fill out an online application today!  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/  Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.  ARF is an all volunteer organization.  Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions until your application has been approved.  Thank you for your patience!

Below is an overview of what you can expect during the pet adoption process: Step 1: Submit an online adoption application at https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/ Step 2: Our volunteers will review your application and reach out with a status. This step can take up to five business days. Step 3: If your application is approved you will be invited to meet with the cat or dog you are interested in at a mutually agreed upon time and location. Step 4: We’ll walk you through the benefits of adopting through A.R.F., then complete the adoption paperwork and collect the adoption fee. Then your new best friend is yours! Step 5: Complete required follow-ups such as obedience training or spay/neuter (if delayed due to medical reasons).
