Meet Sawyer
Meet Sawyer – Your Loyal Fetching Fanatic! Sawyer is a handsome 3-year-old neutered male with a big heart and an even bigger love for tennis ball fetch! This fetching machine has endless energy when it comes to his favorite game—he’ll play as long as you’re willing to toss. Sawyer came to us after a vet reached out for help. His owner left for college, and Sawyer was sadly kept isolated in a room. Despite that rough start, he’s shown nothing but love and potential in his foster home. He may be a bit reserved with unfamiliar people, especially men, but once he knows you, he becomes incredibly devoted and affectionate. He’s good with other dogs in playgroups and has two best buddies, Wiley and Tippy. That said, Sawyer prefers not to share his beloved toys—he can resource guard his ball, so we don’t play fetch with him around other dogs. Because of this, he’d thrive as an only dog or with a laid-back canine friend who isn’t interested in toys. He’s also entirely indifferent to cats! Sawyer has started a Basic Obedience Class and is doing well. In doggie daycare, he’s generally social but won’t tolerate overly rowdy dogs—he’s quick to correct those who get too obnoxious, so supervision is helpful in those moments. Sawyer would love a home where he can soak up all the attention, play fetch to his heart’s content, and be your most loyal sidekick. He’s currently being fostered in Plymouth, IN, and is ready to find his perfect match. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate companion who’s always up for a game, Sawyer might just be your guy! Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions about Sawyer. You can complete an application to adopt Sawyer or any of the dogs on our website at www.comebyebcrescue.org . *** The potential adoptor will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application.
Adoption Process
Adoption process includes completing an application, having personal references checked, vet checks and home visit by one of our volunteers. Your application and backup information is then presented to the Board/Committee for review. Once your application has been approved, you may then schedule a meeting with the dog(s) in which you are interested. The foster home has the final approval on the adoption of his or her dog.
