Sammy is here! This sweet boy is a 1 year old, 32 lb, Cattle dog/Aussie Mix. Exercise is his favorite thing, which includes anything from running in his yard, playing fetch or other high energy activity, playing with other dogs, and going for walks (watch out for those squirrels and rabbits - he likes to chase them!) While Sammy l oves other dogs, his energy isn't for everyone - he'll need an equally energetic and playful companion. Mr. Sammy's foster mom shares that h e is happy and loving, and with a little work and training, he will make an amazing family pet! He enjoys laying with his humans throughout the day, and is especially cuddly in the evenings after he's worn out from the day. Among his other pastimes are toys, chewing on bones and going for car rides. Imagine this cute little guy's hair and ears flapping in the breeze! In general, Sammy is a happy-go-lucky, friendly dog who loves everyone...w ith the exception of runners, and people in hats. You never can be too careful! We believe he'll be happiest with a fenced yard because he has so much energy - a walk won't be enough activity for him. Plus, he really enjoys being in the yard these days! If there isn't a fence, he will need plenty of mental and physical stimulation for his cattle dog/shepherd nature. Take Sammy home with you today and gain a new best friend! His minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. He is already h ouse and crate trained, though may have transitional accidents in his new home before he figures things out.
