Meet Kermit, a 4-year-old American Bully tipping the scales at 54 pounds and full of charm. This sweet, low-energy boy is house trained and much prefers the comfort of a dog bed over a crate. While he’ll grumble and cry when crated, he settles in peacefully when given a cozy spot of his own to snooze the day away. He’s quiet and loyal, happiest when lounging close by and soaking in belly rubs. Kermit is currently living with both dogs and kids in his foster home and does wonderfully with all of them. He’s especially gentle with the little ones and will politely grumble if another dog plays too rough near “his” kids. Though not one for toys or bones just yet, he lights up for car rides and never wants to be left behind—he’ll even try to sneak out the door, tucking that big blocky head and barreling forward like a bulldozer in too-big boots. Described as friendly, adaptable, and happy, Kermit thrives on companionship and would love a home where someone is around often. He’s known to swipe snacks from small hands if they’re not paying attention, but his goofy, lovable nature makes him hard to resist. Kermit is looking for a laid-back household where he can be your loyal sidekick—couch optional, cuddles required. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
