Introducing Hazel, the delightful 3.5-year-old Miniature Poodle weighing in at a dainty 17.3 pounds. In just 8 days of experiencing the warmth of a real home, Hazel has shown incredible progress. Although initially reserved, this gentle soul is learning to embrace the love and trust of her humans. Hazel's favorite pastime? Being held close, as she revels in the comfort of a caring touch. While she is still on the path to complete trust, Hazel adapts quickly to new surroundings. Patience is key with this sweet girl, but the reward is a future filled with loyalty and unwavering companionship. Hazel is housetrained and she goes outside on a regular schedule. In her crate, she's a star performer, showcasing excellent behavior. Hazel's ideal home is one with children over 6 years old—those who exude calmness and respect for her space. Having been a breeder release, the concept of life as a beloved family member is still a novel experience for her. Fast movements, loud noises, and new things may initially be intimidating, but with time and care, Hazel is sure to blossom. A fenced yard is a must for this little adventurer. Hazel thrives in the company of her canine foster siblings and would flourish even more with a confident canine companion. Whether lounging around the house or enjoying some time in the yard, Hazel is content and ready to share her heart. Described as friendly, shy/timid, reserved, quiet, fearful, slow to warm up, and adaptable, Hazel's unique personality adds a special touch to any home. Her adoption fee, set at a minimum of $400, includes the additional $15 fee for rabies registration (for McLean County residents aged 4 months or older). Welcome Hazel into your home, and witness the transformation of a timid pup into a loving and cherished family member. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
