Wish Bone Canine Rescue

several people broke off from a local rescue that had become, in our opinion, too much about prestige and money. They also weren't doing a good job in caring for the pets physically and mentally. We want to focus on the quality of our work, not quantity. We do rescue simply because it's the right thing to do! I am a certified vet tech so i've always thought that it's kind of my duty to share my talents.

Meet Miss Maisy

Miss Maisy, a 4-year-old Miniature Poodle weighing 12.3 lbs, is a breeder release seeking a loving home. Despite her initial shyness, she is incredibly sweet and needs a patient and caring adopter to help her adjust to being a cherished family member. A quiet home with a fenced yard is essential, and she may benefit from having a calm canine companion to guide her. Miss Maisy has shown compatibility with her young foster siblings. She is most comfortable in a calm environment and is likely to thrive with children aged 6 and older who are respectful of her space. Fast movements and loud noises still intimidate her, but she is a laid-back and quiet girl who enjoys spending time indoors and in the yard. Described as reserved, shy/timid, fearful, suspicious, and slow to warm up, Miss Maisy is gradually learning to trust people. She has started wagging her tail and approaching her foster mom with calm excitement, showing a desire to connect. Miss Maisy is gentle when taking treats and food, and she particularly enjoys chest scratches and soft back massages. She is showing interest in soft crinkly toys and has a penchant for canned wet food and softer treats. Fully house-trained and non-destructive, she doesn't require crating and prefers to stay in one place. Miss Maisy needs to be taken out to potty every 3 hours during the day and can sleep 6-7 hours at night without accidents. Her adoption fee is a minimum of $400, with an additional $15 fee for rabies registration for McLean County residents aged 4 months or older. This fee contributes to Miss Maisy's well-being and continued care as she transitions into her forever home. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. To be considered for adoption, you must first submit the application found at:   http://fs16.formsite.com/WishBoneCanineRescue/adoptionapplication/index.html For information about this dog's breed(s), visit: http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/abc.htm
