Meet Happy — a cheerful Beagle mix pup who lives up to his name in every way! This 22-pound bundle of joy is all about good vibes, tail wags, and following the kids around like he’s one of them. His estimated date of birth is 11/15/2024. Happy is thriving in his foster home, where he spends his days playing in the yard with his young human friends and canine foster siblings. He’s also been respectful around cats. Happy seems to instinctively gravitate toward children, often choosing their company over the adults in the house. Toys and chew bones are high on his list of favorite things, and he’s happiest when he’s part of the action. This friendly, outgoing pup appears to be house-trained and sleeps soundly in his foster family's bedroom. He’s learning the ropes of being an indoor dog and is working on polishing up his manners—mostly when it comes to his enthusiastic greetings and joyful pounces. Happy would do great in a home that can provide plenty of mental and physical enrichment, but he’s not over-the-top with energy. He just wants to sniff around the yard, do his business, and come back inside to hang with his people. Especially the little ones. True to his Beagle roots, Happy isn't shy about using his voice now and then—especially if a crate is involved. Because of this, he’s best suited for a home without shared walls. If you’re looking for a sweet, adaptable young dog who brings sunshine wherever he goes, Happy might be your perfect match. His minimum adoption fee is $325 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
