Meet BIG RED

Big Red is a 3-year-old Pit Bull who came to us as a stray on May 7, 2025. This big, lovable guy is still adjusting to life at the shelter, but he’s already showing glimpses of the sweet, laid-back companion he can be.He was mildly interested in treats, but once we got out for a walk, he began taking them gently and started checking in with me more often. He has a soft mouth and walks well on leash with just a bit of pulling.Big Red does best with slow, positive introductions with dogs. His previous owner stated he was good with dogs and kids. He’s also potty trained and reportedly a big-time couch potato who loves to lounge once he’s comfortable.Big Red is looking for a calm, patient home where he can settle in, relax, and enjoy the good life. If you’re into quiet walks, snacks, and movie nights with a big snuggle buddy, Big Red might just be your guy.
