Wish Bone Canine Rescue

several people broke off from a local rescue that had become, in our opinion, too much about prestige and money. They also weren't doing a good job in caring for the pets physically and mentally. We want to focus on the quality of our work, not quantity. We do rescue simply because it's the right thing to do! I am a certified vet tech so i've always thought that it's kind of my duty to share my talents.

Meet Bruce

Introducing Bruce, a 122.7-pound Rottweiler mix who is about 8 years old. He is a loyal companion in search of a second chance at love and belonging. Bruce's journey hasn't been easy – after losing his beloved owner, he found himself at an Animal Control facility. But thanks to the kindness of one of our amazing fosters, Bruce now has a safe and loving home to call his own while he waits for his forever family. This handsome fellow is already house trained and excels in his crate, making him the perfect houseguest. With moderate energy levels, Bruce enjoys spending time both indoors and out, whether he's playing in the yard with his canine foster brother, going for leisurely walks (he's a pro on leash!), or just playing with his favorite toys. Described as friendly, happy, and loyal, Bruce is the epitome of a faithful companion. Despite the challenges he's faced, he's adapted quickly to his new surroundings and has settled right in with his foster family. Smart as a whip, Bruce impressed everyone on his very first day by showcasing his knowledge of "sit," "shake," and even "high five." While Bruce hasn't had the opportunity to interact with children in his foster home, just from his size we think he'd do well with older kids who can provide him with the love and attention he craves. According to his foster dad, Bruce is a sweetheart who thrives on affection – he's always ready for a good cuddle session and will gladly accept all the pets you're willing to give. Though a fence isn't required, it would be a dream come true for Bruce, who loves nothing more than spending time in the yard, soaking up the sunshine and fresh air. If you're searching for a devoted companion to share your life with, look no further than Bruce. Come meet this sweet boy today and discover why he's sure to steal your heart! His minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
