Wish Bone Canine Rescue

several people broke off from a local rescue that had become, in our opinion, too much about prestige and money. They also weren't doing a good job in caring for the pets physically and mentally. We want to focus on the quality of our work, not quantity. We do rescue simply because it's the right thing to do! I am a certified vet tech so i've always thought that it's kind of my duty to share my talents.

Meet Tia

Tia is not just any German Shepherd; she's a petite bundle of love on a mission to win over hearts with her adorable antics and heartwarming personality. At three years old and about 49 pounds, she's a testament to resilience, having come to us malnourished but now thriving under the loving care of her foster family. This charming girl is on a journey to optimal health, steadily gaining weight and blossoming into the vibrant pup she was always meant to be. With her house training mastered and crate manners impeccable, Tia is ready to take the next step and find her forever home. Tia's zest for life is infectious, evident in her love for playtime whether it's romping in the yard, engaging in spirited games with her canine pals, or going on adventurous walks. Her playful nature extends to her affinity for toys, bones, and the occasional car ride, where she happily takes in the sights with a wagging tail. Although Tia may play a tad rough at times, she's a quick learner and effortlessly adjusts her play style to accommodate her furry friends. Her foster mom describes her as friendly, outgoing, and adaptable—a true testament to her resilient spirit. But Tia's charm doesn't end there. This smart cookie knows her commands like sit, down, shake, and fetch, even if she's still perfecting the art of relinquishing the toy for another round of play. And while cats may not be her cup of tea, Tia's love knows no bounds when it comes to children. Her gentle demeanor and affectionate nature make her the perfect companion for families looking to add a furry member to their brood. With her soft fur and irresistible charm, Tia is more than just a dog; she's a loyal friend waiting to bring joy and laughter into the lives of those lucky enough to call her their own. If you're ready to embark on countless adventures with a furry companion by your side, Tia is eagerly waiting to make your acquaintance. Adopt Tia today and let the love and laughter begin!  Her minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
