Midwest Animal Rescue Service

Midwest Animal Rescue Service of Illinois (MARS) was started in 2009 in order to help alleviate the pet over-population issues in southern IL, MO, KY, AR, and TN through a no-kill adoption program. Our desire to help animals in need has allowed us to offer rescue services for hundreds of dogs and puppies, cats and kittens, and horses.

Meet Mason

Meet Mason! This puppy is one of a litter of 4 Cocker Spaniel/Beagle mix puppies that are looking for loving homes. They are SUPER cute, and beautiful markings! They are playful and curious, and would make great additions to any family, and would love to go for walks, play at the park, or cuddle on the couch.Mason has a condition called "cherry eye", which is a protrusion of the third eyelid. It is a congenital defect that is more commonly seen in Cocker Spaniels and Beagles both, so it is not to much of a surprise he was predisposed to have it. This is usually corrected during the neuter surgery so the puppy will not have to go through two separate surgeries. Here is a helpful link to read more about this condition: http://m.petmd.com/dog/conditions/eyes/c_multi_prolapsed_glandIF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTION, PLEASE READ ALL ADOPTION INFORMATION BELOW!
