Meet Hamingja, a 1-year-old mixed breed sweetheart who weighs in at just 32 pounds. With her gentle nature and happy-go-lucky attitude, Hamingja charms everyone she meets—humans of all ages and other dogs. She’s especially fond of children and will politely sit so the neighbor kids can pet her. Hamingja is playful and friendly, and she enjoys spending time in the yard, tossing around toys, and engaging in short bursts of play with her dog friends—though she often lies down to take a break mid-game. She’s learning the ropes of leash walking and sometimes zigzags a bit, but she’s always happy to explore. Her favorite pastime might just be cuddling; she loves belly rubs and is known to climb into your lap when she’s looking for affection. She’s making good progress with house training. While she reliably goes potty outside, she sometimes forgets to go during her outings and may have an occasional accident. At night, Hamingja sleeps soundly in her crate and has a sweet little habit of burrowing under her dog bed to get cozy. While a fenced yard isn’t required, it would be ideal for Hamingja. She loves the freedom to explore off leash, stretch her legs, and take care of business at her own pace. If you're looking for a gentle, cheerful companion who loves both playtime and cuddle time, Hamingja might be your perfect match. Her minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
