Summit was born in an abandoned house, but she’s leaving her rough start far behind! Her brave mama used to venture out to beg for food, and thanks to a kindhearted volunteer group, this whole little family is now safe, loved, and thriving. Born around January 10, 2025, Summit is already weighing in at 28 pounds, so we think her dad may have been a big guy! Her mama is medium-sized, but Summit’s sturdy frame hints at a bigger future. This confident, outgoing girl is full of personality. She’s the fearless one in the bunch—spicy, happy, and always ready to play. Summit absolutely loves toys, bones, and romping around with other dogs. She’s working on house training and does best when crated in the bedroom with her foster family, where she feels close to her people. A fenced yard isn’t required, but it would be a dream come true for this energetic pup to have a space of her own to zoom around and burn off that puppy energy. Summit hasn’t been around children yet, but she’s expected to do well in a home that can continue gently teaching her the ropes of being a well-mannered pup. She’s still learning not to nibble or jump, like many puppies her age. If you’re looking for a bold, joyful, and playful companion, Summit might just be your perfect match! Her minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
