several people broke off from a local rescue that had become, in our opinion, too much about prestige and money. They also weren't doing a good job in caring for the pets physically and mentally. We want to focus on the quality of our work, not quantity. We do rescue simply because it's the right thing to do! I am a certified vet tech so i've always thought that it's kind of my duty to share my talents.

Meet Gertrude McFuzz

Gertrude McFuzz is a delightful and playful pup who will capture your heart with her charming personality. She's a 3-month old Lab mix who tips the scales at 25 pounds and will likely be a big girl when full grown. She does wonderfully in a crate and is perfectly content sleeping crated in another room at night. Gertrude loves to run around the house, spend time in the yard, play with toys, and romp around with other dogs. Gertrude is great with big dogs, male and female dogs, strangers, men, and women. She absolutely LOVES children and gets along beautifully with kids of all ages. This playful pup enjoys chewing on toys, car rides, and sitting in your lap. She loves to follow her person around all day and is happiest when she’s near you. Though she pulls a little on the leash, she’s working on improving her walking skills. Friendly and happy, Gertrude is also playful and full of energy. She’s a bit slow to warm up at first but quickly becomes a loyal and affectionate companion who wants to be near her person all the time. Her adaptable nature means she would thrive in any loving environment, and she would particularly enjoy a home with lots of activity. From her foster family: "Gertrude McFuzz is a sweet and happy girl who loves being part of the family. She’s great with kids and enjoys playing and cuddling. Her minimum adoption fee is $350 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
