Meet Grizz

Meet Grizz! He is a 5 year old 80 lb chocolate lab mix boy. Grizz just doesn’t have the looks but he is also a smart, sweet, kind and lovable! He will greet you every morning with a smile…. Yes he smiles.   Grizz is the whole package.  Some of his favorite things to do are play in the yard with the resident dogs or run the fence line with the neighboring dog.   Plush toys are another favorite of his too.   Have to run an errand…. Grizz loves car rides and dog friendly stores. Grizz is also a great tv night cuddle buddy and doesn’t mind being subjected to a bad romcom while snuggled up to you on the couch.   He is a quick learner and has already mastered sit.  Grizz walks well on a leash, crate trained, potty trained and gets along great with the resident dogs and cats.   Although he is being fostered in an adult only home, he does enjoy it when the neighboring children come to say hello to him every morning before school.  Put in an application today to meet your new best friend!   If you are interested in adopting/meeting , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application  . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet! The adoption fee of $400 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed! *please note that we are a foster home based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Thank you for your understanding.

Adoption Process
Interested adopters need to complete a pre adoption application. This can be found on our website at www.starfishanimalrescue.com - we schedule meet and greets with approved applications only. We do home visits and vet checks. If you have questions about our adoption process please email us at [email protected]
