several people broke off from a local rescue that had become, in our opinion, too much about prestige and money. They also weren't doing a good job in caring for the pets physically and mentally. We want to focus on the quality of our work, not quantity. We do rescue simply because it's the right thing to do! I am a certified vet tech so i've always thought that it's kind of my duty to share my talents.

Meet Gemma

Hi, there! My name is Gemma, because I am such a gem! I am a beautiful 8-month old Maltese Mix who weighs 14 pounds. I have been looking out of my foster home's windows in search of my forever home! Do you think you can help a little lady like me? I am described as curious, sweet, and outgoing. My favorite activities include playing fetch, dancing on my hind legs, going on car rides, and being loved! I am very responsive and smart, so far I have learned "sit" and "down". I love exploring new places and meeting new people! I am also house trained and crate trained, have I impressed you yet? I am great with other dogs. I have bonded so much with my canine foster siblings! There hasn't been a single dog or person I have met that I didn't love. I get so excited to meet new people and dogs that I am working on not pulling on my leash when I see them on walks. I just want everyone to be my best friend! Maybe you'll be my next one! Her minimum adoption fee is $ plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
