Rue is an adult Border Collie who lives in Fenton, MO with her owners, and due to the presence of children in the home now, Rue's owners feel that she would do better in a home without small children, so they are seeking to re-home her.  You can e-mail Rue's owners at [email protected] for more information about Rue and the type of home they seek for her. Rue was obtained by her current owners when she was a puppy, from a breeder who appears to be no longer around or breeding.  Rue is an intelligent dog whose habits make her easy to live with, except for the uneasiness she displays around small children.  Rue has not been tested on cats, but her owners believe that given her strong herding/prey instincts, she should not live with either cats or small children.  However, in all other respects Rue is a congenial companion and would likely do well with another dog in the home.Here is how Rue's owners describe her: "Rue is a beautiful Red Merle that loves other dogs and playing all day or going on long walks. , , She is also a cuddler when given the chance and wants nothing more than to please her owners. , , She is not good with children but other than that is wonderful." Adoption Process
Adoption process includes completing an application, having personal references checked, vet checks and home visit by one of our volunteers. Your application and backup information is then presented to the Board/Committee for review. Once your application has been approved, you may then schedule a meeting with the dog(s) in which you are interested. The foster home has the final approval on the adoption of his or her dog.
