This good looking, super sweet boy is LEO, a 23 pound Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel and Poodle Cross) who will turn 2 years old in February. Leo looks larger in the photos but he is only 23 pounds currently so we’re thinking it may be because he has long legs. Leo is smart, listens very well, and knows some commands. He is a gentle dog that is great with adults and children. Leo LOVES being with and playing with other dogs, especially a great game of chase, so we are requiring another active dog in the adoptive home who would enjoy a play companion. Leo’s new home would ideally have a fenced-in yard because not only does he really enjoy being outside and playing in the yard, he is used to having the yard for bathroom breaks. He can be walked on a leash but isn’t used to going for walks for toileting purposes. Because Leo can a bit timid initially but he has been jostled from home to home before getting into rescue so he’s trying to figure out “what he did wrong” we think he’d do better in a household with children who are 8 years and up. We also think Leo would benefit from an adopter who is home more often vs away a full work day. Leo has no experience with cats. This awesome pup has been examined by a licensed veterinarian, been provided inoculations, dewormed, tested for heartworm disease and tick-borne diseases (negative), plus neutered and microchipped.
