Pet Adoption League of Gem County

We are a non-profit animal shelter ran by animal loving volunteers. We are a no kill shelter. We spay and neuter all our pets before adopting out. Our goal here is to return lost pets to their owners, find homes for those who have none, and promote compassionate treatment of animals everywhere.

Meet Penny

Meet Penny Hello there! My name is Penny, and I'm a delightful Border Collie/Australian Kelpie mix eagerly waiting for my forever home. I about a year old and weigh about 38 pounds. Personality: I'm as sweet as can be, with a heart full of love and an endless desire to make friends with everyone I meet. Whether you're a person or a fellow furry friend, I'm always ready to greet you with a wagging tail and a big smile. Playing is one of my absolute favorite activities, and I'll never turn down a game of fetch or a chance to frolic around with my pals. Training: I'm a smart cookie who's already mastered some impressive tricks like sit, down, and come. Sure, I might get a little distracted sometimes because the world is just so exciting, but deep down, all I want to do is please my humans and learn new things. Needs: With my puppy instincts still intact and all this energy to burn, I'm looking for a home with a large fenced yard where I can run and play to my heart's content. Chew toys are my absolute favorite, and I'll happily spend hours playing with them, especially if it means I can keep myself entertained and out of trouble. Compatibility: I'm a social butterfly, so I would do great in a home with canine companions who can keep up with my playful spirit. And don't worry, I'm perfectly fine with cats too, as long as they don't mind a curious pup sniffing around. Health and Care: I've been spayed, vaccinated, wormed, chipped, and even had my teeth cleaned, so I'm all set to be your perfect furry companion! If you're looking for a loving and energetic addition to your family, look no further! Come meet me at Pet Adoption League, and let's see if we're a match made in heaven. I promise to fill your home with laughter, love, and endless tail wags! Adoption Information: If you're interested in welcoming this pup into your home, please contact PAL to arrange a meet-and-greet for adoption or discuss fostering options. If you would like to fill out the form for adopting or fostering, please complete the adoption form here (for adoption) or the foster application here (for fostering). Volunteer Opportunities: PAL is always looking for individuals eager to lend a helping hand as a volunteer. Whether you can spare a couple of hours a week or more, there are many opportunities available to suit your schedule. If you're interested in becoming a volunteer, please submit an application here.  Your support can make a significant difference in the lives of animals in need.

Adoption Process
We have a 1 page adoption form. We do home visits on all of our dogs. Our adoption fee is $80.00 for dogs and $50.00 for cats. That includes spay/neuter and vaccines.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
