Meet Angus
Say hello to Angus! This sweet boy is a pitbull/ lab cross and is a 3 years old. We do not know much about Angus's past as he was brought in to us as a stray. What we have learned since him coming to us is that he absolutely adores any kind of human or dog interactions. He is such a sweet boy who really wants to please his people. We know that he had to have an owner at one point as he knows his basic commands and knows the words "wait" and "ok" when it comes to feeding times. He does like kids, but we believe it would be best he go with kids 7 and older due to his energy level. He ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT have ANY small dogs, cats, or small livestock such as chickens at his new home! He has an extremely high prey drive, and if it's small furred and moves, he will go after it!
Adoption Process
We ask various questions like what are you looking for in an animal, do you rent or own your own home. If you rent we need a letter from you landlord saying it is ok for you to get a dog or a cat. We have an application that we will have you fill out if you are coming to adopt a dog or a cat. We ask if they have any other animals so we know what ones would be the best fit for them.
Adoption fees include a health screening, neuter/spay, vaccinations, de-worming, microchip (dogs only), and other medications as needed. Our fees are lower than other animal shelters in the surrounding areas. Our goal is to find great homes and great matches for our animals and the families adopting.
Our adoption fees are $65 for kittens or a cat. $150 for a puppy or a dog.
Our requirements are you must be 18 or older to adopt, show ID. If they have a dog and are looking to get another dog we ask them to bring their dog to do a meet and greet so we know that the dogs will get along.
Then they do sign a contract that says they are going to provide for them food, water and shelter. Taking them to the vet if they need it.
