Meet Fern
‘SHADY PLANTS’ THEMED GIRL: 1 Year old / 19 lbs. Hi there, I’m Fern! I found myself at animal control along with my sister and thankfully, Mostly Mutts came for both of us! Now we’re each ready to find homes of our very own. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met some other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and it took me a few minutes to warm up, but then I liked them, so if you have a nice dog at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I met some kids at Mostly Mutts that were 10 years old and a little younger than that and I liked them. I did get very excited when they ran around and I jumped up on them a bit, so kids 10 and older will likely be a good fit for me, (let’s meet) and best no younger kids that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: The volunteers describe me as friendly and sweet with a submissive nature. I was a good girl for the photographer too and she reported that I was fun to photograph, as well as super sweet and a beautiful dog. / My energy level is 4 – 6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m a member of the Mostly Mutts University training program and I look forward to learning lots of new things with my trainer. / My crate manners have been good at Mostly Mutts. / I’m working on my potty manners now, so I’ll need my new family to finish teaching me this. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I like all the nice volunteers that come to visit and take care of me. I also like to play with toys, so let’s have some fun play sessions together. / I can’t think of any dislikes yet but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I’m a wonderful dog looking for a wonderful family to love and live the good life with! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process
Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:
Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!
Adoption Info:
Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only.
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.
Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.
Thank you for your patience and support!
