Meet Dolly & Fanny

A SWEET & FUN BONDED PAIR:  Approx. 5 & 6 years old / Approx. 4 & 13 lbs. Hi, we’re Dolly the Chihuahua and Fanny the Terrier.  We came to Mostly Mutts together from animal control and we are a bonded pair, so we are looking for a family that wants two wonderful doggie companions!  We both came in heartworm positive, but we'll be treated for that soon. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  In our foster home, with proper introductions, we both get along well with other dogs. Fanny may resource guard with the larger female dog in the home at times, but we both love Marvin who is also available for adoption and is smaller like us, so if you have another dog around our size, let’s meet. / We both chase the cats in our foster home, and they are not amused by us, so best no cats. / We have both met very gentle kids 8 and 11 years old that know how to treat a tiny and a small dog.  Dolly, being only 4 lbs., was a little nervous but did snuggle with them and Fanny wanted all their attention, so if you have kids around 10 and up that will be gentle and respectful of us, let’s meet!      • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  Our foster says that “Dolly is the brains and Fanny is the muscle” LOL.  And that we are classic little dogs who are fearless and show love that is bigger than a Great Dane!  Dolly can be a little instigator and if she barks, Fanny will be right beside her!  We are both friendly, playful, and loving and we enjoy meeting new people, and we also bathe each other. We would be great work from home companions as we camp out in dog beds and supervise. Dolly can get jealous of Fanny getting too much attention, so please make sure we both get lots. / Our energy level is around a 3 – 5 right now and we should stay on the calmer side until we’ve been treated and recovered from our heartworms.  It’s possible that our energy level will increase a little bit afterwards.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  We both ‘come’ when called and Fanny knows ‘sit’. We both do pretty well on our leash, though Dolly likes to be carried after a minute or so of walking. / We don’t use a crate in our foster home. / We will both potty outside when taken and on pee pads, but we do have some accidents, so we’ll want you to help us finish our potty training.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  We both love to play and snuggle with each other and with our people!  We also like dental treats, attention, and Fanny loves big stuffed toys! / Other than the above-mentioned kitty cats and big dogs, we can’t think of anything else we don’t like, but we’re sure we wouldn’t like it if we didn’t get enough love, attention, and training. • MEDICAL:  We are current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. Dolly came in with an injured eye that needed to be removed. Sadly, we weren’t kept on heartworm prevention in our previous home, so we’re both HW positive. The good news is that we'll be treated for that in a few months and Mostly Mutts will cover the cost of that treatment with their vet, so local adoption please.  We hope to be with our family before treatment starts! We have moderate tartar on our teeth, so our adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future. Dolly takes an over-the-counter joint supplement that she should stay on.  We’re two great gals looking for a wonderful home!  Our adoption fee together is $400.00, and we’re located in Kennesaw, Ga.
