Meet Penelope

SWEET, ADORABLE & ACTIVE:  Approx. 6 - 7 months old / Approx. 26 lbs. & growing Hi, my name is Penelope!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I have been enjoying all the love and care I’m receiving from the volunteers ever since.  I hear it’s time for me to find my new family, which is VERY exciting, so come meet me soon! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met some dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so if you have a dog already, let’s meet. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a very friendly girl with typical fun puppy energy since I’m young.  I did great for my shelter bath, sitting nice and calmly for my bather.  I’m curious and playful and I can get a bit playfully mouthy with people when I’m excited. / My energy level is 5-7. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I look forward to  learning lots of great commands with my trainer.  I am very treat motivated, so that should make my training fun and yummy!  I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog - so get ready for some training with your new best friend. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having accidents on the shelter schedule, so please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I enjoy being active with people, and I love toys, so I know we will have great fun with lots of play sessions together.  I’m sure we’ll find lots of other things we like doing together as I grow up. / I can’t think of things I don’t like, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on my immunizations, micro-chipped and spayed. Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following: Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care. We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot. The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org. Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family! Adoption Info: Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only. Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email. Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family. We do require an interview, references and a contract. Must be 21 or over to adopt. Our Adoption process is very thorough...MM prides itself in making every effort to place each animal in the right home. Dogs: Our adoption fee is $299. Each dog that Mostly Mutts adopts out to a Furever home has the following basic vetting as well as an engraved name tag, Martingale collar and leash: Spay or Neuter Surgery Vaccinations up to date according to age (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordatella) De-Worming Microchip Heartworm Testing (1 yr & older) we pay for treatment for any HW+ animal after adoption at our own vet Cats: Our adoption fee is $175 for cats. Each cat that Mostly Mutts adopts out to a Furever home has the following basic vetting as well as an engraved name tag: Spay or Neuter Surgery Vaccinations up to date according to age (Rabies, FVRCP) De-Worming Combo-Tested (FeLV/FIV) Please visit our website, www.mostlymutts.org for additional information about adopting a new best friend!
