Meet Vince

A HANDSOME LITTLE GUY:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 11 lbs. Hello – I’m Vince!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and now I am ready to find my ‘happily ever after’ in a great furever home.  I hope you will find a spot in your heart for a new furry family member … and let it be me!  I’m heartworm positive, but thankfully Mostly Mutts is going to get me treated for that. Plan to come meet me soon! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I haven’t met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, so let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, but I would likely do best with older, dog-savvy children such as 15+, as I may need their patience to settle into my new home.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I was quite scared when I first arrived, so the volunteers took their time with me and interacted on my terms which I really like.  Having a bit of that spicy “Chihuahua” nature, I may like what I like and may not like what I don’t like – time will tell.  Once I know and love you, I turn into a little cuddle bug with a friendly, sweet and happy demeanor, so give me the time needed to open up and relax and I’ll turn on the charm.  I was quite comfortable and adorable for my photo session which I thought was fun. I look forward to being someone’s great companion. If there’s a man in my new home, I’ll ask that he works patiently to win me over as I haven’t liked some of the men I’ve met at the shelter – perhaps something happened in my past with a man. / My energy level is 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I know the ‘sit’, ‘stay’ and ‘come’ commands already, and I bet you can teach me even more. / When I first arrived, I guarded the entry to my crate and did not want to come to the volunteers – especially the men, it’s improved over time, so just ask about that. / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  Once I know you are my friend, I am a sweet little snuggler and I sure enjoy my time with the volunteers.  I seem to enjoy walks and had fun during my photo shoot, so perhaps I’ll be a big camera fan. / I don’t like being rushed, and I don’t seem to like being picked up yet, but this may change.  Some men aren’t my favorite either. Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  Unfortunately, my previous owner did not keep me on a heartworm preventative, and I've tested heartworm positive.  Mostly Mutts is covering the cost of my treatment with their vet in late June, so local adoptions only.  I hope to be with my new family before my treatment begins.   I am looking for loving home where I will be a cherished family member and will feel safe and loved!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following: Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care. We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot. The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org. Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family! Adoption Info: Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only. Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal.
