Meet Julie
A FUN & FRIENDLY GIRL: Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 37 lbs. Hi, my name is Julie! I was rescued from animal control by Mostly Mutts, and I hear they are great at finding wonderful homes for doggies in need of one – like me! I am now ready to meet my furever family and begin the good life that all doggies deserve! I got to spend some time in the prison/foster training program offsite and learned a lot! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I recently met some dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I liked them! I hop around with excitement when I’m playing which is pretty cute. If you have a nice doggie at home already who might like a pal, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I met kids recently at Mostly Mutts and I was SO excited to see them, I had little self-control. My trainer and I are working on improving this, but I may knock over a small child while so excited, so it’s best that I live with teens 15+, please. Let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a really sweet and affectionate girl with some jumpy enthusiasm – always happy to see the nice volunteers who come to spend time with me! I’m also quite strong for my size, so keep a good hold on my leash during our walks. Playful and fun, I can’t wait to bring smiles to the faces of my new family! / My energy level is currently 6-8. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I look forward to learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer. I have mastered the ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’, and ‘place’ commands as well as how to accept friendly strangers without jumping and use proper door etiquette. I’m working on my leash manners now using an easy walk harness as I’m quite jumpy when going for walks. Check back soon to see my progress. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts though I don’t want to spend a lot of time in my crate. / I was having some accidents on the shelter schedule, but my potty manners have been good in the prison/foster training program. Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can fully master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I like attention and was calm and sweet for my shelter bath. Being with people makes me happy, so let’s plan lots of adventures together. I also love to play fetch. Throw the ball for me and I will bring it back to you, drop it at your feet, and get into position for you to throw for me again! Toys are fun, and I also love that great petting and snuggle time. / I would not be happy in a home where I spend a good bit of time in my crate. Otherwise, I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I am looking for a loving home where I will be a much-loved member of the family! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process
Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:
Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!
Adoption Info:
Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only.
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.
Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly.
