Meet Tootsie
PLAYFUL, AFFECTIONATE & FUN: Approx. 6 months old / Approx. 30 lbs. and growing Hi, my name is Tootsie! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I’ve been soaking up all the attention I can from the nice shelter volunteers who come to care for me. I have heard them say that I am now ready to find a family of my very own, which makes me super happy – and excited for the great life that awaits me! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I haven’t liked the dogs I’ve met at Mostly Mutts, so no dogs for now. I may be tested again in the near future. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over, as I am a bit of a jumpy and mouthy puppy right now when I play. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a happy and playful pup who has charmed the volunteers with my super sweet and friendly demeanor. I have lots of puppy energy, though I may crouch down if I’m unsure about something as I’m still learning. I’m affectionate, young, and fun. As beautiful as I am loving, you are sure to fall in love! / My energy level is 5 - 7. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog - so get ready for some training with your new best friend. I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I am learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer. I’ve already mastered the ‘sit’ command, so check back soon to see what else I have learned. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having accidents on the shelter schedule, so please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love to play and enjoy my time in the play yard with the volunteers – and some fun toys, of course! I’d certainly enjoy a fenced yard in my new home where we can have lots of fun play sessions together. When it is time to relax, I love all the petting that comes my way. / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow. I’m also micro-chipped and spayed. I came in with some mild hair thinning on my face, but it’s growing nicely now. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process
Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:
Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!
Adoption Info:
Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only.
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.
Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly.
