Meet Rocky
Meet Rocky – The Resilient, Red Merle Frenchie with a Heart of Gold! ❤️ Rocky is a one-year-old Red Merle French Bulldog with a truly special soul and the most captivating little face you’ll ever see. This handsome guy has overcome a tough start in life — he struggled with serious breathing issues that made eating difficult and kept him from feeling his best. But thanks to expert care and BOAS surgery at the UGA Vet Hospital, Rocky is now thriving, playful, and full of life! Mealtime is a joy for Rocky — not just for him, but for his human too! He eats small, soft meals throughout the day (and yes, his food is hand-fed meatball-style — shhh, don’t tell him his meds are tucked inside!). It’s not only adorable, but it helps keep him neat and happy. Rocky will need a diet of soft food for life, with the occasional soft treat and maybe a nibble of kibble here and there. He does need to be fed separately from other pets. He does not want to share his food now that he can eat. Rocky is the ultimate Velcro dog — he adores being close to his people, following you around with those big, expressive eyes and a gentle curiosity. He’s not needy, but he does love lap time, especially if it ends with a good nap and some belly rubs. He sleeps peacefully in his crate at night (right next to your bed, of course), and during the day he’s free to roam the house. His potty signal? A dramatic stare at the door, hoping it magically opens! ☀️ Due to his breed and a condition called a redundant esophagus, Rocky needs to stay cool and calm — no heavy exercise, hot weather, or collars that put pressure on his throat. A harness is a must, and so is a chill lifestyle. Short walks in cool weather and plenty of rest suit him just fine. He’s currently injury-free and we’d like to keep it that way, so no jumping off furniture — he’ll happily let you lift him like the royal he is! Grooming? Easy peasy. A daily wrinkle wipe, a quick face cloth bath with foaming dry shampoo, and he’s smelling fresh and looking fabulous. Rocky would thrive as an only dog, but he’s currently living peacefully with other dogs and cats in his foster home. He mostly ignores them, unless he’s in the mood for a playful chase. A fenced yard is great, but not essential — leashed walks and supervision work just as well. Rocky is pure joy, wrapped in a squishy, snuggly package. He’s goofy, loving, and oh-so-charming. If you’re familiar with Frenchies, you’ll love him instantly. If you’re new to the breed, don’t worry — we’ll help you learn everything you need to know to keep him safe and happy. Rocky is ready to find his forever home — could it be yours? If you're looking for a loyal little companion with a big personality and a heart full of love, Rocky is your guy. Adoptions are limited to an approximately 150-mile radius from Locust Grove, GA, certain circumstances may allow exceptions. To apply to adopt this pet, please fill out a Preliminary Adoption Application at https://www.streetpaws.org/home/adopt. This application does not commit you to an adoption. It is used to screen those interested to make sure the home is a good match for the pet and your family. We verify vet history on current/previous pets to ensure pets have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated annually. Please call your vet to give permission for us to call them. Rocky's adoption fee is $500. He has been given age-appropriate vaccinations, neutered, heartworm tested, dewormed, has received flea prevention, and is micro-chipped. We will ensure the microchip is registered. If more information is needed regarding the pet email [email protected]. You must complete the pre-application to obtain approval to meet the pet.
