Sterling is a cool guy who has had a rough last few weeks. He originally belong to an alleged homeless man who was giving him way out front of Walmart and said he NEEDED to be GONE that day. A kind person offered to foster him short term, fearing the urgency may result in harm to him. The man promised it would only be a few days . Days and weeks went by and the kind person was ghosted . Voicemails went unreturned, and phone calls were ignored. Eventually they had no other choice than to bring Sterling to the shelter. We also tried to call multiple times (the phone always rang) and left voicemail after voicemail. None of our contact attempts were returned, despite the fact we were BEGGING them to at least call us back while we tried to save him. Now, Sterling is in danger due to overcrowding. More and more dogs pour in the doors everyday and twhre are no kennels available. We don’t know what we are going to do tomorrow when more come. Sterling is said to be dog and cat friendly! He is a little standoffish with strangers which in his case, we understand! Once he gets to know you he is a nice and humble guy! The shelter can be a scary place! He is 65 pounds and a young adult. Sterling may just be another “Georgia brown dog” in a shelter, but he deserves a chance at the good life
