My name is Lois Vassilion and I moved to this impoverished area of SE Ga. 15 years ago. My main profession is a Critical Care Nurse. When my husband and I got here, we discovered there were no animal services in the county and abandoned pets everywhere. We started BARC at that time to provide health services to these pets and a home.

Meet TADPOLE

TADPOLE and her siblings were abandoned in a woody area with no one to care for them. Rescue is working to get them all foster homes. Tadpole is the smallest and has been given supplements to help her gain weight. She does very well with other pets and would make the best family pet. She is both playful and affectionate. Adoption Process
The person must fill out an online application and be approved. They sign a contract and are given a copy of the health record. Our adoption fees range from $100-$350 depending on the adoptability of the pet.
