My name is Lois Vassilion and I moved to this impoverished area of SE Ga. 15 years ago. My main profession is a Critical Care Nurse. When my husband and I got here, we discovered there were no animal services in the county and abandoned pets everywhere. We started BARC at that time to provide health services to these pets and a home.

Meet Truffle

BARC introduces TRUFFLE to rescue. This sweet little beagle / dachshund mix was born the end of March. Her mom was injured and died when she was 3 weeks old. She is very spirited and playful. All the same, she is happy to just snuggle and be your best friend. She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and rescue pays for spaying. Adoption Process
The person must fill out an online application and be approved. They sign a contract and are given a copy of the health record. Our adoption fees range from $100-$350 depending on the adoptability of the pet.
