Meet Natalia
LEARNING TO LOVE & TRUST: Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 11 lbs. Hi, my name is Natalia! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and – while I am grateful to no longer be there, I arrived scared and unsure – hiding under my bed - and am learning to build my trust in the kind volunteers at the shelter. They are going slow with me and – with their love and attention, I am learning that I am indeed in a safe place with a great life ahead of me. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and was a bit nervous when they wanted to play, but I did show some interest. So, if you have a dog, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids at Mostly Mutts, but I’ve had a few instances of nipping and biting when stressed or unsure, so it’s best I don’t live with kids. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I am a cute and friendly girl, but I like to warm up in my own time, so please go slow with me in my new home until I feel comfortable and know I am safe and loved. The volunteers have brought out my sweet nature by sitting and letting me come to them, so I don’t feel rushed. I’ve shown my playful side with interest in toys, so I am sure we will have a great time together once I settle in. I’d like a quieter type of home that doesn’t have a lot of new people coming into it. / My energy level is 4 - 6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I will be learning lots of great doggie commands with my trainer. Check back soon to see what I have learned. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts when the volunteers go slow and let me approach them first. / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home too. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I like attention, but may not accept it right away, as I need to warm up to my people a bit. Once comfortable though, I do enjoy all the petting that comes my way. Toys are fun, so let’s make time for some great play sessions. / I will not be happy being rushed in new situations, or in a home that has a lot of folks coming and going, so be patient with me and give my trust time to develop, please. Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have a luxating patella (grade 2 to 3 out of 6) which is not uncommon in some small dogs like me, so an anti-inflammatory medication can be given to me as needed. I should also stay on a Cosequin tablet daily to help my joints feel their best. Just ask about this. I am looking for a wonderful, quiet home where I will receive the love and attention all doggies deserve! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process
Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:
Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!
Adoption Info:
Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only.
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.
Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly.
