Meet Mimosa

'BREAKFAST' THEME MOMMA: Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 10 lbs. Hi, I’m Mimosa!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control very pregnant and I quickly gave birth.  I raised my pups in a wonderful foster home and now I’m ready to find my furever home and to be a cherished family member. · OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I do well with the 2 smaller dogs in my foster home, one is much older and one very young and I seem to thrive in a ‘pack’.  I do have a more “dominant” nature with dogs, and I enjoy playing with them. I was cute with some bigger dogs that I briefly met at the vets office too, so I may do well in a home with the right bigger dog, let’s meet! / I’ve done well with cats in my foster home that don’t run. I tend to mind my business around them and let them be in general. / There is a calm 11-year-old girl in my foster home and I like her a lot! I also met a neighbor’s child that was 6 years old and a bit louder.  I was fearful of them so older calm children only please and let’s meet.    · PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: My foster reports that I’m very smart and that I love my people once I’m comfortable, so I’ll need a little time to settle in and trust my new family.  I absolutely love to cuddle and I’m looking for a family that will take time to devote to me so I will really blossom.  I’m a very loving companion, and my foster knows that I’ll adore being doted on and showered with love.  I’m very food motivated so this helps me build trust in people. My fosters also describe me as “scrappy, loving, and protective”. I bark when I hear people or see them out and about. / My energy level in my foster home is 5-7.  I like to sleep a lot but when I play, I’m quite energetic. · SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I know the ‘sit’ command so far and my fosters think I’d do well in a home where people will keep my mind engaged and do some training with me. / The crate is not my favorite place, but I do go in it when encouraged and I stay inside it without trying to escape. In my foster home, I need to be crated when my people are away as I will get into things and eat what I can find. / I do well with pottying outside on a schedule; however, I’m not fully potty trained and do still have some accidents. I’ll need my new family to work with me on this. · LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love squeaky toys and cuddling with my people! I also LOVE treats and food and I really enjoy the other dogs in my foster home, so I’d love to have another nice dog or two to pal around with that won’t mind if I’m a little bossy. / I’m not fond of being left alone much, so a stay or work from home family would be best for me. I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. · MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I’m looking for a wonderful patient family to love and be loved by.  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
