Meet Walter

A FUN AND FRIENDLY FELLOW:  Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 33 lbs.     Hi there!  My name is Walter!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and immediately became a volunteer favorite.  When I went to my foster home shortly after arriving at Mostly Mutts, I soon charmed my foster family as well!  I’m now ready to steal the hearts of my new family, so plan to come meet me soon! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I haven’t met other dogs yet, but I don’t react to the dogs I pass on my neighborhood walks with my foster, so let’s meet! / Cats unknown, but I haven’t reacted to the squirrels that are in my foster’s yard, so that’s a good sign.  If you have a kitty, let’s meet and see if we can be friends. / I’ve only met a 6-week-old infant while in my foster home and just politely sniffed them.  So, if you have kids, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.       • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I had the reputation at the shelter as being very sweet and curious with a calm nature.  In my foster home, they describe me as ‘loving and compliant’ with some bursts of fun, playful energy.  I bring a smile to faces when ever I meet someone – just a great guy! / My energy level is 4-6.    • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’ve learned the ‘sit’ command in my foster home, and I’m great on my leash walks, staying right by my foster mom.  I  bet you can teach me lots more! / My crate manners have been very good in my foster home. / After just a few initial accidents in my foster home, my potty manners have been very good.  I think I was just getting used to my new surroundings at first.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I am a fun-natured fellow who loves to play with my toys and enjoys a good game of fetch!  I’m a people dog, and I seem especially fond of women.  I enjoy following my people around and sitting right by their side.  Since my leash manners are great, and I enjoy my walks around the neighborhood … leash me up and let’s gooooo! / Loud noises bother me, and I seem to be a bit out of sorts if my things are out of place.  Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I have moderate tartar on my teeth, so my adoptive family should consult with their vet and consider a dental cleaning in the future. I am looking for a loving home with a great furever family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following: Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care. Adoption Info: Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only. Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal.
