Meet Danny

A SWEET & SHY FELLOW:  Approx. 6 years old / Approx. 10 lbs. Hi, I’m Danny!  I came to Mostly Mutts through a good Samaritan who helped me and another dog friend named Gigi work our way to Mostly Mutts.  We’re both so thankful for that and are looking forward to finding new homes to be loved in! We don’t have to be adopted together, but if you happen to be looking for two little dogs, we could be the ones.  We’re in a great foster home now while we wait. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I get along great with Gigi (she’s the leader and I’m the follower), and I had a submissive nature with the dogs in my former foster home, so if you have a gentle dog, let’s meet! / I got along well with the cats in my former foster home – even sleeping next to them in the bed. / I was initially a bit timid with the 6- and 9-year-olds in my foster home, but I love them now that I know them.  They are gentle with me, and I like that.  So, if you have gentle kids, let’s meet and best no toddlers or very young kids that may fall on me.   • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m initially timid and do need extra time to warm up to new people, but once I know you’ll be a friend, I like hanging out with you very much!  The nice person who helped my work my way to MM reported that I would dig, jump a fence and run away, and my former foster says that I did use the deck stairs to jump a 3.5 foot fence and that I do look for ways to escape, so please don’t leave me unattended in a yard at all! / My energy level is 3 – 5 but was higher in another home. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m working on the ‘sit’ command in my foster home and you can teach me even more. / The crate is my safe place, and I keep it clean and dry, so I’d like a crate in my new home to retreat to when I feel it’s needed. / My potty manners are coming along, but I’ve had a few accidents, so please keep me on a good schedule so I can fully master my potty manners – remember to stay with me outside.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I enjoy snuggling with my person and my friend Gigi, and I like treats, too.  I’m sure we’ll discover lots of other things we will like doing together. / I wouldn’t like living in a busy type of home with a lot of people coming and going. Please don’t rush to get to know me as this scares me – just give me some time and you will soon be my person or people.  I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I’m looking for a great home and furever family to love!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following: Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care. We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot. The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org. Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family! Adoption Info: Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only. Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email. Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.
