‘SIMPSONS’ THEMED PUPPY:  Approx. 3 months old / Approx. 13 lbs. & growing Hello, I’m Lisa – one of the adorable ‘Simpsons’ themed pups.  My brother Bart and I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control.  We’ve spent some time in a great foster home and are now living at the shelter and – since it’s time to find our new families, I hope you will come meet me soon! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I love my sibling, but sometimes he played a little rough with me.  I would likely enjoy another dog who matches my energy level to play with in my new home.  If you have a nice doggie that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet! / I’ve not met kitties yet, but I’m a young puppy so we may do well together if you have a kitty that likes puppies. / I liked the child (age 10) in my foster home, so if you have kids around that age, let’s meet but best no toddlers that may fall on me or that I may bump over! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  The volunteers describe me as a super sweet girl with an affectionate nature.  My brother and I are both friendly pups with fun personalities.  When it came to my shelter bath and nail trim, I was a brave girl who just sat nicely and gave kisses.  Playful and loving, I am sure to bring lots of joy to my new family. / My energy level is 5-7. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog - so get ready for some training with your new best friend. I don’t know any specific commands just yet, but I bet we can have fun with some command training together. / In my foster home, I had  to warm up to my crate with a little protesting, but I did quiet down. / I’m still a puppy, so my potty habits are a work-in-progress.  In my foster home, I was beginning to give the bark signal when I needed to go out, so I am starting to learn!  I also need to be taken out pretty quickly after I eat and drink which is normal for a puppy. Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  A typical puppy, I love to play and always enjoy having toys around.  My calm, affectionate side emerges when it is time for lots of petting and cuddles. I love to exchange kisses for both of these! I’m sure we’ll find lots of things we like doing together as I grow! / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise and training. • MEDICAL:  I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow.  I’m also micro-chipped and spayed. Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following: Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care. We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot. The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org. Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family! Adoption Info: Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only. Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email. Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family. We do require an interview, references and a contract. Must be 21 or over to adopt. Our Adoption process is very thorough...MM prides itself in making every effort to place each animal in the right home. Dogs: Our adoption fee is $299. Each dog that Mostly Mutts adopts out to a Furever home has the following basic vetting as well as an engraved name tag, Martingale collar and leash: Spay or Neuter Surgery Vaccinations up to date according to age (Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordatella) De-Worming Microchip Heartworm Testing (1 yr & older) we pay for treatment for any HW+ animal after adoption at our own vet Cats: Our adoption fee is $175 for cats.
