Meet Kirby

A FUN, SWEET & ACTIVE FRIEND:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 27 lbs. and needs to gain some weight Hi, my name’s Kirby!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and am so grateful for the love and good care I am receiving from the volunteers.  I heard that it’s time for me to find my furever home, and that makes me soooo happy!  I am currently in the prison/foster training program off-site waiting for you and learning a lot! Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to see when I’m able to meet. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I recently met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and loved them! I was doing spins, jumping, and playing my heart out with them.  I was also a bit vocal during play. If you have a nice doggie at home who might enjoy a playmate, let’s meet!  / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a happy, handsome guy with a fun and friendly nature.  Playful and sweet, I am eager to see people and show my excitement with lots of tail wags.  I’ve still got a good bit of young doggie in me, as I can be jumpy and a little mouthy when I play, but I’m working on that with my trainer.  I am sure to be a fun addition to a lucky family!  My energy level is 5 - 7. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I’ve already mastered lots of great doggie commands with my trainer and look forward to being a graduate very soon. I know the ‘sit’, ‘come’, ‘down’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’, ‘place’, and ‘stay’ commands and I also use proper door etiquette as well as walk nicely on a leash. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I had some accidents on the shelter schedule, but my potty habits have been good at the prison/foster training program.  Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like toys and look forward to lots of play sessions with you and other fun adventures! We can discover lots of things we like doing together. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I am looking for a loving home with great furever family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following: Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care. We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot. The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org. Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family! Adoption Info: Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only. Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email. Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.
