Meet Splash

‘NANA’S BAKING’ THEME PUPPY - FEMALE:  Approx. 5 – 6 months old / Approx. 23 lbs. and growing Hi, I’m Splash!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control when my owner surrendered me and my siblings due to some type of breeding situation.  I didn’t get the best start to life, but I’m making up for it now and am enjoying all the attention and training I’m receiving from the Mostly Mutts volunteers.  Don’t just look at my adorable face please as Chows are a breed of their own and I need a family that is familiar with the Chow breed and a good leader. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met some other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I liked them though I was a tad shy, so if you have a dog at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I met some kids at Mostly Mutts that were around 10 years old and did well with them, so if you have kids around that age, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over or nibble on as I do like to explore with my mouth. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  Due to my rough start, the volunteers and trainers really took their time with me and my siblings, and it sure has paid off!  I now willingly go for walks, play with toys, and accept people in the shelter environment – though I will run from them if they move too quickly.  I like to have fun, enjoy being active and explore with my mouth because I’m still a puppy. Being a Chow mix, I sometimes have a dominant (not aggressive) nature and as mentioned above want a Chow knowledgeable family. / My energy level is 6 – 8. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program and can't wait to learn lots of new skills with my trainer. I’m also looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and be a great adult dog! / I’m doing well in my crate at Mostly Mutts. / I seem to be pretty well pee pad trained but I’ll need my family to finish up my potty training. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like all the good training, attention, and socialization I’m getting at Mostly Mutts, and I sure do like playing with toys!  I also like to play with the brush a bit while being brushed which is cute, but I’m sure I’ll learn and get better at brushing time – perhaps I can hold a toy while we do that. I’m sure we will find lots of other things we’ll love doing together too! / I wouldn’t want to be rushed into new situations or into meeting new people too fast and I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.  • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  I will need lots of regular brushing, so my coat does not tangle and become painful.  I’m a great puppy looking for a great Chow-loving family to raise me up right.  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following: Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
