My name is Lois Vassilion and I moved to this impoverished area of SE Ga. 15 years ago. My main profession is a Critical Care Nurse. When my husband and I got here, we discovered there were no animal services in the county and abandoned pets everywhere. We started BARC at that time to provide health services to these pets and a home.

Meet Snickers

Snickers is a six month old flat coated retriever shepherd mix he’s crate trained House trained, he is up-to-date on his vaccines. We have him scheduled to be neutered on 13 March. He will need leash training obedience classes. He’s a very loving dog gets along OK with other dogs. We are cat testing him at this time. He will need an experienced owner and must have a fence yard to play in. He would fit in well with a household that had older children, and that is very active. BARC will pay for a PetSmart general obedience class as this pup has a lot of energy and play that needs to be directed . Adoption Process
The person must fill out an online application and be approved. They sign a contract and are given a copy of the health record. Our adoption fees range from $100-$350 depending on the adoptability of the pet.
