Meet Jessica
A LOVING COMPANION: Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 20 lbs. Hi, my name’s Jessica! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and – though I was a bit unsure at first, it didn’t take long for the love and attention from the volunteers to ease my fears and let me know I am in a good place … SO good, in fact, that they are going to help me find a new family to love and be loved by. Isn’t that awesome? Come meet me soon! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I haven’t met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, so let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I liked the kids I spent time with in my short break foster home (ages 4-15). So, if you have kids, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over or that may fall on me. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a super sweet girl who has been nothing but calm and cuddly with the volunteers. I spent a few days in a foster home recently and – boy – did I love being with the people there! In fact, I earned the title of ‘Velcro dog’. I was super well-behaved for my shelter bath and nail trim, sitting calmly and loving the attention. I’m happiest when I am with you! Affectionate and loving, you will quickly see why the volunteers call me a ‘doll baby’. / My energy level is 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: As I have gained confidence, my leash skills have improved nicely, and I know the ‘sit’ command. I’m sure you can teach me lots more, so – let’s train! / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule (as well as in the home I recently visited). • LIKES/DISLIKES: More than anything, I love being with my people. I’ve not shown much interest in toys yet, but I bet if my person starts playing with them, I may become interested in them, too! In the meantime, Sweetness is my name, and cuddling is my game! Belly rubs are the best, and I am always ready for those. I just want to love and be loved. / I’m pretty sensitive to loud noises, which startle me and make me a flight risk. As I gain more confidence in my new home, this may subside, but just be aware of my dislike of noise and fast movements. Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I am looking for a loving home where I will be a cherished family member! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process
Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:
Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!
Adoption Info:
Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only.
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.
Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly.
