Meet Forrest
‘F’ THEMED PUPPY: Approx. 4 months old / Approx. 17 lbs. & growing Hi there, I’m Forrest! I came to Mostly Mutts with another puppy friend who has already been adopted and now it’s my turn! I was adopted for a few weeks, but it wasn’t a fit as the family was moving and couldn’t take me with them. So, I’m back with Mostly Mutts looking for a great family to raise me up and love me furever! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I love the other puppy that I came in with as well as the adult dogs in my former foster home and the dogs I’ve met at Mostly Mutts! I was playful but respectful of them and backed off when they corrected me. / I haven’t met kitties yet, but I’m young so I’d likely do well with them if they like puppies. / I did well with the kids in my former foster home who were around 10 - 12 years old, so if you have kids, let’s meet and best no toddlers that may fall on me or that I may bump over. I’m still in the normal puppy mouthy stage, so supervision is needed around little ones. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: My former foster reported that I’m a tall, adorable and lanky pup with a sweet temperament and a super social nature — I truly love being around people and making new friends. I’m a little more mellow than the other pup I came in with, but I still have plenty of playful energy and curiosity. I just need patience and consistency as I grow, and I believe I’ll blossom into the best companion you could ask for! / Energy level: My current energy level is 5-7, of course this could change as I grow up. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog – including starting to train me not to chew on you and the kids so we’ll all be happy - so get ready for some training with your new best friend. I’m eager to please and seemed to learn quickly through my former foster family’s routine, so I think I’ll like training. / My crate manners are pretty good. / I’m working on my potty training, but I’m young, so I’ll need my family to finish potty training me. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I enjoy playing with other dogs and all the other normal things that puppies like. I’m sure we’ll have a blast finding lots of things we’ll enjoy doing together! / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise and training. • MEDICAL: I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow. I’m also micro-chipped and neutered. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.
Adoption Process
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process
Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:
Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!
Adoption Info:
Adoptions are being scheduled for approved applicants, by appointment only.
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.
Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.
