New Rattitude, Inc.

New Rattitude is a national, all-volunteer non-profit rescue/adoption agency whose mission is to rescue Rat Terriers (and mixes that are predominantly Rat Terrier) from imminent death at animal shelters, the streets, abusive/neglectful homes, or from owners who can no longer keep a dog, and to rehome the dogs into new and permanent, screened and approved adoptive homes. Each dog rescued is cared for in a safe and nurturing foster care environment where he or she receives appropriate medical care, a high quality diet, training and socialization. To achieve these ends, the organization is involved with transportation, volunteer recruiting and training, mentoring, fund-raising, and establishing and maintaining other programs deemed helpful to achieving the mission of rescuing and re-homing Rat Terriers.

Meet Wilson (GA)

Wilson's wishes are simple and few--a spot on your couch and some snuggles from you. Around 8 years old, 15-lb. Wilson is thought to be a mix of rat terrier and Jack Russell terrier, and like so many ratties, he looks and acts much younger. An easy-going fellow, who likes to just go with the flow, Wilson gets along great with all the dogs in his foster home. He also lives with two cats, who are comfortable and rather blasé around dogs. Wilson greatly wants them to play and can get so excited that he'll chase after them if he can get them to run. Very cautious kitties would not likely appreciate Wilson's enthusiasm. He also has moments when he's just generally playful, but they pretty quickly succumb to his overriding urge to simply be next to his people. He loves to snuggle, and he loves to sleep. Crate trained and very well house-trained, Wilson would easily fit in with just about any environment, except for the most high-energy ones. He's a little too much of a couch potato for extremely active households. You can see more photos of Wilson doing what he does best in his online album at  https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/wilson . This boy has the kindest heart and soul; we're certain that you'll want to make his simple wishes come true.
