Rebels Rescue Inc.

Rebels Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization dedicated to facilitating the rescue of and finding new homes for stray, abandoned, neglected, abused, and surrendered animals in the Tampa Bay and surrounding area.Rebels Rescue animals are placed with foster families that generously open their homes to animals in need. Rebels Rescue animals are provided with all necessary veterinary care. They are checked for internal parasites, fleas, and ear mites, then given treatments and immunizations as required. Cats and kittens are checked for feline leukemia and FIV, dogs and puppies are checked for heartworm, and all animals are treated accordingly.

Meet Sasha

Hey!  I’m Sasha, a sweet girl looking for a home.  I was adopted from the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center (PRC) in 2019 as a 1-year-old but mysteriously found as a stray in August 2025.  Things were looking bleak for me at PRC, but I was rescued on September 21st by Rebels Rescue!  I was so happy to be out of the shelter.  My freedom ride driver talked nice to me and within a few minutes of getting in the car, I was giving him kisses and letting him rub my belly.  I didn't have a foster home to go to, so I have been staying at a dog resort.  I have been a good girl at the resort and, even though I can be wary of new folks, I like the staff here and have a good time playing with them and getting pets.  I really do like people, so if you give me space and go slow and talk nice to me, I will warm up to you quickly.  I love to play, give kisses, and have my belly rubbed.  I’m not sure how I’d feel about other pets in the house…we would have to see how I react.  If you are looking for a sweet older girl, I would really love to come live with you!  Please complete an adoption appli cation on the Rebels Rescue website if you’d like to meet me.

Adoption Process
An adopter cannot be on a Do Not Adopt list. They complete an adoption inquiry to start the adoption process. It concludes with completing an adoption contract and paying the adoption fee. We do home visits for dogs. All animals are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines based on their age and/or weight. Cats are tested for FIV and FeLV, dogs are tested for heartworm. All animals are microchipped.
