Maxx & Me Pet Rescue

Maxx & Me Pet Rescue was founded by me named in memory of our golden retriever rescue Maxx who we lost at 3.5 yrs old from histiocytic sarcoma. I have been involved in rescue for years - all my dogs are rescues, I have transported thousands of animals from shelters to fosters/adopters, been on a pilots n paws flight to help a rescue. I am a real estate broker by trade and currently the majority of dogs saved are funded by me personally until we grow. We saved 23 dogs from a FL hoarder in Levy in Feb/March of this year.

Meet Taylor

The only way we can be sure one was named for the other and not the other way around is our Taylor is only 3. Taylor, a GORGEOUS Golden (mix) has been learning all the things at her board and train program. (See comments for videos) She’s ready to start looking for her forever fam now so she can show off her newly acquired skills and they can continue to learn together!Taylor will need an adult-only home with people who are committed to helping by her stay confident and trust that they’re in her life to lead, guide, and protect her. Taylor is *super* lovely to her people but not so much a fan of strangers. She’s hoping for a family where they don’t have a ton of visitors - stranger danger! - nor a home where say teens are in and out a lot. She is great with other dogs but can be a bit bossy / pushy. She certainly doesn’t NEED other dogs in her home but would be ok with them as long as they mesh personality-wise. Taylor isn’t a first-time dog, she needs a sure and confident pack leader so she knows she doesn’t need to fill that role. If you’re interested in giving Tay-Tay a home, please apply @maxxandme.org She’s GREAT on leash so she won’t need a fenced yard. Adoption fee is $400

Adoption Process
Adoption fees vary. Application required, reference check, vet reference check, home visit and once approved meet and greet. Adoption contract at the time of adoption once approved. Our rescues are always returnable to our rescue and is made part of the contract.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
