Meet Heinz, a squatty sweetheart on a fitness journey fueled by zoomies and joy. This 2-year-old, 43 lb bundle of fun might be a Bassador (that’s Basset + Lab), and he’s bringing all the charm of both breeds in one low-riding, tail-wagging package. We first met Heinz a while back at the shelter and couldn’t stop thinking about him. When he was still there weeks later, we knew we had to make room. And wow, are we glad we did, this guy is pure delight. “Shorty's in the house !” Heinz is friendly with people and gets along well with the small dogs he’s met so far. Since arriving, he’s been celebrating his new life with laps of pure happiness. A few more of those and he’ll be in tip-top shape in no time! Heinz is heartworm positive and has begun treatment, which we’ll guide you through every step of the way. With proper care and plenty of love, he'll be back to full health and ready for even more adventures. If you’re looking for a silly, loving, low-to-the-ground best friend, Heinz is ready to roll right into your heart.PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good.
